B-tier

A utility card that grants 6 Block and converts every Status card in hand into Fuel (cost 0, Exhaust, draw 1). Defect has many self-inflicted Status cards like Reckless Charge and Overclock, so Compress lets you wipe out the downside while turning it into extra draws.

Six Block alone is a little light for cost 1, but the Status conversion pushes the card into real advantage territory. The more Status cards in hand, the better. Status-heavy decks gain enough from the conversion to justify inclusion.

• Convert Wounds from Reckless Charge (Defect) into Fuel for Block plus 2 draws in one turn
• Convert Burns from Overclock on the spot to keep the deck dense
