A basic defense card included in the starter deck. Cost 1 gives 8 Block and discards 1 card. It has strong synergy with discard-reference cards — combined with Memento Mori or Dagger Throw, it generates value beyond pure Block. Upgraded 11 Block dramatically improves defense. Silent's starting deck is made of Strike and Survivor, and Survivor is by far the most valuable of them. Upgrade it early.

• A primary defense card that stably generates Block every turn. Use it actively from early game.
• Since you choose what to discard, you can intentionally send unwanted cards (like Strike) to the discard pile to thin the deck.
• With Memento Mori, damage scales with cards discarded this turn, so playing it after Survivor boosts damage.
• Combined with Foresight or Tools of the Trade, you can set up a cycle that retains useful cards for next turn.

• Memento Mori: Attack dealing 4 extra damage per card discarded this turn. Discard with Survivor first, then play for more damage.
• Foresight: Retain a card at turn end. Makes it easier to manage keep-vs-discard decisions.
• Tools of the Trade: Draw 1, discard 1 each turn Power. Stabilizes the draw-and-discard cycle alongside Survivor.
• Afterimage: Power that grants Block per card played. Playing Survivor adds even more Block on top.
