Rating
Pael's Tooth removes 5 cards from the deck at once and returns them one by one, upgraded, after combat. It is the ultimate accelerator for thin-deck strategies, delivering deck compression on a scale no other relic can match.
The Overwhelming Value of a 5-Card Remove
- Shop removes cost gold per card and scale in price. Removing 5 at once is otherwise impossible
- Clearing 5 Strikes at a stroke deletes most of the initial weak cards instantly
- The deck becomes extremely thin right after, skyrocketing key-card density
- Roughly 2.5 times the impact of Empty Cage (2-card remove)
The Return Mechanic
- The 5 removed cards are not gone forever. They return one per combat, upgraded
- After 5 fights all 5 are back in the deck, fully upgraded
- Effectively this is a temporary 5-card remove plus a free full upgrade pass
- Even if the returned cards are Strikes or Defends, upgraded versions are stronger than baseline
Choosing Remove Targets
- Pick the 5 weakest cards. Strikes are the top candidates
- Since returns are upgraded, even weak base cards have some use once back
- Removing cards that do not fit the build temporarily sharpens the deck's direction
Character Ratings
| Character | Rating | Comment |
|---|---|---|
| Ironclad | A | 5 Strike removes dramatically improve Strength-build precision |
| Silent | S | Deck compression is everything for poison builds — a 5-remove is revolutionary. Biggest beneficiary |
| Defect | A | Raises orb-part density and stabilizes setup |
| Necrobinder | A | Improves summon-part density and speeds build completion |
| Regent | A | Increases forge density, greatly stabilizing Star combos |
Synergies
| Card / Relic | Reason |
|---|---|
| Thin-deck strategy | Five removes leave the deck paper-thin so you draw key cards nearly every turn |
| Combo builds | Higher part density hugely stabilizes combos |
| Shop removes on top | Tooth + shop removes can compress the deck to 7–8 fewer cards total |
Playstyle Tips
- Prioritize Strikes as remove targets, then Defends, then off-build cards
- The deck is very thin for a few combats after the remove — a great window for elite hunting
- Understand that cards return one at a time, so by the 5th fight the deck nears its original size
- In Pool 2, strongly prefer Tooth. The impact of a 5-remove outweighs other Pool 2 relics
