Rating and Analysis
Cursed Pearl is a Neow Ancient relic that grants +1 draw in exchange for adding one Curse card to your deck. The +1 draw effect, giving you 6 cards every combat, is extremely powerful, but the downside of a permanent Curse in your deck cannot be ignored.
Value of +1 Draw
- 5 → 6 cards in hand is a 20% increase in options. It makes choosing the optimal card each turn easier
- Especially in the early game, it resolves hand shortages, making it easier to balance offense and defense
- In combo decks, the chance of drawing key pieces improves
- Unlike +1 Energy, the number of usable cards increases (even if you lack Energy, you gain card information)
Downside of the Curse
- One Curse card is added to your deck. Drawing it wastes a slot in your hand
- In the early game with a small deck, the chance of drawing the Curse is high and its impact is large
- From the mid game onward as the deck grows, the chance of drawing the Curse decreases, diluting the downside
- Removing the Curse at a shop eliminates the downside entirely

- If acquired early, remove the Curse at a shop as soon as possible
- If you have Exhaust cards, you can handle it mid-combat, so there is no need to rush removal
