Emotion Chip is a Defect-only relic that triggers every orb's passive an extra time at the start of a turn following a turn where HP was lost. Because the condition is "losing HP," defensively stable decks rarely activate it.
When it does trigger, the effect is powerful. Five Frost orbs deliver 10 extra Block in a single burst; Lightning orbs can auto-deal 15 damage. But the precondition "took damage last turn" is the problem. Defect's mainstream plan is farming Frost orb Block, which means not taking damage in the first place. A relic that rewards getting hit contradicts Defect's strategy.
The instability of the trigger is the relic's biggest weakness. If the fight has enemies that deal unavoidable damage each turn (Thorn-like effects) it triggers consistently, but a relic that leans on that scenario isn't reliable.
