Basic Info

- Effect: Lose 2 Strength. At the start of each turn, gain 1 energy.
Rating
For 1 energy and a permanent -2 Strength, you get a permanent +1 energy every turn. The 2 Strength loss stings early, but the per-turn energy advantage compounds with fight length and begins paying back from turn 2 onward.
In decks that don't care about Strength — largely Block/utility/Ethereal oriented — the -2 Strength drawback is effectively free. Ethereal decks and Decay decks especially don't lean on Strength, so +1 energy every turn to power Analyze, Banshee's Cry, Domain, and other high-cost cards is pure upside. It also acts as an energy ramp for demanding cards like Eradicate (X-cost Retain Attack), Soul Eater (Soul consume + draw), and Rites of the Departed.
Rating: A-tier (strong permanent energy engine in any deck that can eat the Strength loss)
How to Use
- Deploy in Ethereal or Decay decks where the Strength loss barely matters
- Use the +1 energy per turn to comfortably fit Domain, Revive, Banshee's Cry in rotation
- Feed extra energy into Eradicate (X-cost Retain) to push its damage
- Especially strong in long boss fights where the energy accumulates over 10+ turns
Synergies / Deck Types
- Eradicate: X-cost Retain Attack. Every +1 energy from Friendship directly raises Eradicate's damage
- Domain: 3-cost Ethereal Power. Friendship's extra energy eats the cost comfortably
- Banshee's Cry: high-cost AoE. Extra per-turn energy gives the buffer to cast it
- Soul Eater: Soul consume + draw Power. More energy = more activations
- Rites of the Departed: 2-cost Exude-a-card Skill. Easier to slot in with Friendship's ramp
