Rating
The token card at the heart of Necrobinder's deck rotation. S-tier. 0-cost for 2 draws (upgraded 3) is an overwhelming resource source — expands your hand to assemble combo pieces and lift play count. Every time Necrobinder cards or minion effects generate a Soul, your deck cycles faster and pulls key cards sooner. Exhaust keeps the deck slim so draw pile rotation stays healthy. No downside to playing it — draw it, play it. Not an overstatement to call it the source of Necrobinder's power.
How to Use
When Soul enters your hand, play it immediately for 2 draws. 0 cost means no timing concerns — any hand position is fine. Build decks around Soul-generators (Sowing, Ash Spirit, Afterlife, etc.) so massive draws fire every turn and hands stay full. Bigger hand = more plays, and those plays generate more Souls — a virtuous cycle. Pairs with Necrobinder's Reap (play all Attacks in hand): Soul draws Attacks, Reap deploys them at once for an explosive turn.
Synergies
- Sowing: core Necrobinder card that spawns multiple Souls. Starting point of deck rotation.
- Ash Spirit: minion effect generates Souls. A steady per-turn draw source.
- Reap: draw Attacks via Souls, then finish with mass Attack deployment.
- Afterlife: card that generates a Soul on death. Minions dying trigger draws.
- Forbidden Grimoire: faster rotation from Soul makes Grimoire more accessible every fight, and compression raises Soul's average quality.
- Rattle: draw into it via Soul, then multi-hit for huge damage. Compression raises Rattle's draw probability.
- Unceasing Top (Relic): draw 1 when hand reaches 0. Using every 0-cost card including Soul triggers extra draws.
