A two-stage Ancient Skill pairing defense with next-turn setup. A-tier. This turn's 15 Block absorbs immediate damage while next turn's 2 Energy plus 2 draw enables an offensive spike. Upgraded reaches 17 Block plus 3 Energy and 3 draw next turn, giving an effective 8-Energy 8-card mega-turn. Cost 3 locks out most other plays that turn, but the next turn's explosion more than compensates. It Exhausts, so one per combat, but that one use is very high value.

Ideal to play on a turn when the enemy telegraphs a big attack. Soak the hit with 15 Block, then counter next turn with the resource burst. In boss fights, reading the pattern so you play Relax right before a big attack and swing hard next turn is the strong rhythm. Combine with Brightest Flame or Enlightenment to pay for cost 3 and still get more actions the same turn. Under Echo Form, double trigger gives 30 Block plus 4 Energy and 4 draw next turn, a broken line.

• Echo Form: double trigger for 30 Block plus 4 Energy and 4 draw next turn. Offense and defense, maxed out.
• Entrench: play Relax for 15 Block, then double it with Entrench to enter next turn with 30 Block.
• Enlightenment: lowers Relax's cost to 1, letting you deploy other cards the same turn.
• Barricade: Block persists between turns, so Relax's 15 Block stacks forward.
• Corruption: Skills become 0-cost, so Relax is free. You keep the next-turn resources and also fuel Exhaust engines.
• Brightest Flame: Energy support lets you play Relax plus other cards the same turn.
