Rating
An Exhaust Skill that applies X Strength loss and X Weak for X energy. Pouring your entire energy pool into Malaise slams an enemy's attack power into the ground. Strength loss and Weak both cut incoming damage, so against a dangerous single target (especially bosses) it dramatically reduces the rest of the fight's damage. Exhaust limits it to one use, but one cast is often enough. 3 energy → -3 Strength and 3 Weak is a huge swing. With Terror, the Weak directly increases damage taken, fusing crowd control with damage.
How to Use
- Pour every energy you can spare into X. Adrenaline or energy-generating relics inflate the payoff.
- Cast early on a high-Attack boss to cut its damage across the rest of the fight.
- Exhaust limits you to one cast per combat, so pick the decisive window.
- With Terror (Weak enemies take double Attack damage), apply Weak via Malaise, then unload for doubled damage.
- Upgrade doubles Strength loss (2X) — same energy, double the Strength shred.
Synergies / Deck Types
- Terror: doubles Attack damage against Weak enemies. Malaise into heavy Attacks = devastating combo.
- Adrenaline: 0 cost, gain 1–2 energy. Play before Malaise to spike X.
- Dagger Spray: AoE 2-hit Attack. After Weak, each hit of Dagger Spray doubles under Terror, spreading the swing to all enemies.
- Master Tactician: Shiv on Skill played. Malaise is Exhaust, so it does not persist, but the Skill-deck structure supports it well.
