Akabeko is an Uncommon relic that grants 8 Vigor at the start of combat. Vigor is a temporary buff that adds damage to the next attack card you play, so the first hit gets +8 damage. In trash fights this often secures a turn 1 kill and makes combats far more efficient. In boss fights the single-use nature limits impact, but an opening burst still has real value. Loading the buff onto a high-damage single hit is more efficient than a multi-hit attack.
