Ring of the Snake

Ring of the Snake is Silent's starter relic that draws 2 extra cards at the start of combat. The opening hand grows from 5 to 7, massively raising the chance of having an effective turn-1 play. Silent's deck quality depends heavily on hand quality, so this opening bonus plays a meaningful role throughout the run.

A 7-card opening hand carries huge value. Early-game decks are stacked with Strikes and Defends, and a 5-card hand often doesn't produce an ideal opening — but 7 cards increases the odds of drawing key cards like Neutralize or Backflip on turn 1. Synergy with discard cards (Survivor, Acrobatics, etc.) is also strong, as picking which card to discard from a larger hand improves decision quality.

After clearing the Act 1 boss, you can upgrade to Ring of the Drake (2 extra draws for 3 turns). Upgrade is recommended in almost all cases, but if another powerful boss relic is available, trading the Ring away for it is a valid choice too.
