| English Name | Jade Sword |

| Source | Defeat 5 Elites with the Stone Sword equipped |
| Overall Tier | B |
Effect
At the start of combat, gain 3 Strength.
How to Obtain
Choose the Stone Sword at the "Submerged Statue" event, then defeat 5 Elites. The Stone Sword transforms into the Jade Sword automatically. It cannot be obtained directly.
Rating & Analysis
Jade Sword is an event relic that grants 3 Strength at the start of each combat. +3 Strength adds +3 damage to every Attack card, making it particularly strong with multi-hit cards where Strength is applied to each hit. The effect itself is straightforwardly powerful.
However, the acquisition conditions are severe. You must defeat 5 Elites after obtaining the Stone Sword, which is typically achievable only in the latter half of Act 2 through Act 3. The Strength buff you want most in the early game arrives only at the end — so the practical power spike is disappointing.
Many players feel it is a "letdown relic" — "if you can already beat 5 Elites, your deck is already strong." The effect is excellent, but the long investment window and the loss of a relic slot throughout that period mean taking Gold at the Submerged Statue event is often the more rational choice. In builds where Strength's benefit is especially large — such as Silent's Knife-spam — the relic's rating rises.
Character Ratings
| Character | Rating | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Ironclad | B | High damage output makes Elite kills easy, but the relative value of +3 Strength is smaller than for other characters. |
| Silent | B+ | Multi-hit Knife builds maximize Strength gains. Poison builds benefit little. |
| Defect | C+ | Strength doesn't apply to Orb damage, so the benefit is limited. |
| Necrobinder | B- | Strength doesn't apply to minion damage — only affects direct attack cards. |
| Regent | B | Good benefit in attack-heavy builds. Forge-type cards synergize especially well. |
Synergies
| Card / Relic | Reason |
|---|---|
| Multi-hit cards | +3 Strength is added to each hit, so total damage increases dramatically with hit count. |
| Knife cards (Silent) | 0-cost Knives also benefit from Strength, making Jade Sword very powerful in Knife-spam builds. |
| Black Star | Increased Elite rewards combined with tracking kills makes Elite hunting more rewarding. |
Strategy Tips
- Defeating 5 Elites is typically achieved in the latter half of Act 2 or into Act 3. The Stone Sword is complete dead weight until then.
- If you're planning an Elite-heavy route the investment is worthwhile, but don't force encounters that cost you HP.
- The +3 Strength benefit is maximized in attack-heavy decks. Skill and Power-focused builds see little return.
- At Ascension 9+, the 5-Elite condition becomes significantly harder to achieve, further reducing its value.
