Rating

Throwing Axe is a Tanks boss relic that automatically plays the first card of each combat a second time. Since the first card of every fight triggers twice, opening with a high-cost, high-impact card grants an overwhelming advantage. For example, a Strength-up Power opener doubles the Strength gain; a heavy damage attack opener doubles the damage dealt. Using a Block card first to secure safety is also strong. You need strategic thought about hand order to maximize the effect, but the relic guarantees value in any deck — extremely versatile.
