Pael's Legion doubles Block gained from cards but goes to sleep for 2 turns afterward (no effect). That creates a 3-turn cycle for doubled Block, making timing around major enemy attacks central.
How the Sleep Mechanic Works
- After doubling activates, the relic sleeps for 2 turns
- During sleep, normal Block values apply
- On the third turn the relic wakes, ready to double again
- Cycle: Double → Sleep → Sleep → Double...
- Track which turn the relic is awake and plan around it
Value of Double Block
- A 15–20 Block card becomes 30–40 Block, flatly negating boss mega-turns
- Split attack and defense turns — fully defensive on active turns, offensive during sleep
- Low-Block cards see little gain, so it shines with high-Block cards

- Pool 3 competes with Pael's Blood (+1 draw). Blood is more consistent
