3 cost is steep, but 10-12.6 damage per Energy is respectable. The kill-bonus 5 diamonds creates explosive synergy with Black Hole and Radiant Flood. Since you gain 5 diamonds per kill, fights with several enemies can chain-trigger the bonus multiple times.

• A strong pattern: finish ~30 HP trash enemies with Knockout and carry the 5 diamonds into the next big play.
• As a boss-fight finisher, a clean 30-38 damage hit is plenty of value on its own.
• With Black Hole on the field, the kill-bonus 5 diamonds adds another 15-20 AoE damage.

• Black Hole: Each diamond gained from the kill bonus deals 15-20 AoE damage, chaining huge numbers in multi-enemy fights.
• Stardust: Feed the 5 kill-bonus diamonds directly into its X-spend for an immediate 35-damage follow-up.
• Radiant Flood: Playing it right after the 5-diamond kill bonus adds another 20 AoE damage.
• Starchild: The 5 kill-bonus diamonds automatically convert to 10-15 Block.
