Rating

One of the Regent's most important Powers. The automatic 2-3 diamonds per turn unlocks every diamond-consuming card the class wants to play.

The Regent's signature roster - Seven Stars, Comet, Hard Choice, Annihilate, End of Stars and more - all demand diamonds, so a single Genesis unlocks the latent power of the entire deck. The upgrade bumps it to 3 per turn, stronger still. Cost 2 is heavy, but once it sticks the diamonds pile up for the rest of the fight.

How to Use

  • Play it as early as possible. The sooner it lands, the more diamonds accumulate.
  • Upgraded it produces 3 diamonds per turn, so long fights especially reward upgrading it before the boss.
  • A single Genesis lets you cast Seven Stars (7 diamonds) every 3-4 turns reliably.

Good Synergies

  • Seven Stars: Demands 7 diamonds. Genesis stacks them up turn by turn for reliable casts.
  • Comet: A 5-diamond finisher. A few turns under Genesis and it is online.
  • Annihilate: 4 diamonds for 30 damage. Genesis keeps the diamond supply steady.
  • Blacksmith: Spend 4 diamonds to Forge 30-40. Combined with Genesis it explodes the Sovereign Blade's damage.

Pick Priority

  • Act 1 early: High. The earlier it lands, the more diamonds accrue. A direction-defining card for Regent.
  • Act 1 late: Highest. Once diamond-consumers appear, grab it on sight.
  • Act 2 onward: Highest. Genesis alone makes Seven Stars and Comet realistic options.
  • Boss rewards: Highest. In long boss fights, per-turn diamond accumulation decides the match.
