Rating
A Cost 1 skill that grants 3 Energy (4 upgraded) if you Exuded a card that turn, then Exhausts. When the condition holds, it converts 1 cost into 3-4 Energy — massive resource acceleration. Exhaust limits it to once per fight, but the return is huge. Exude decks trigger Exudes every turn, so the condition is easy to meet — save the cast for the most impactful turn. Play after Searing Contract, Havoc, or Unyielding Spirit to reliably lock in the Energy.
How to Use
Trigger an Exude earlier in the turn to guarantee the Energy gain. Using Searing Contract (Exude + draw) or Havoc (Exude + play) before Forgotten Rite satisfies the condition. Because of Exhaust, save it for the highest-impact turn (boss burst turn, etc.). Spend the gained Energy on Whirlwind or Skull Bash that same turn to produce an explosive damage turn. With War Drum (turn-start Exude) in play, the condition auto-satisfies, freeing you to pick the optimal moment.
Synergies / Deck Types
- Searing Contract: Exude + draw skill. The most reliable setup — Exude first, then Forgotten Rite.
- War Drum: Turn-start Exude power. Auto-satisfies the condition, letting you time Forgotten Rite freely.
- Havoc: Play-and-Exude top-of-draw-pile skill. Another reliable condition-setter.
- Whirlwind: X-cost AoE. Dump the gained Energy entirely into Whirlwind for huge AoE damage.
- Ash Strike: Exude-count scaling attack. Strengthens the Exude cycle and amplifies Forgotten Rite's synergy.
