Typhon
Overview
Typhon is the father of all monsters — a colossal multi-headed serpentine titan and the final boss of the Surface route, fought at The Summit atop Mount Olympus. Each of his many heads attacks independently, creating an overwhelming storm of simultaneous AoEs that demands precise prioritization.
Attack Patterns
| Attack | Description |
|---|---|
| Serpent Head Breath | Each head fires a distinct breath attack (fire, lightning, or wind) in its own direction |
| Storm Vortex | A full-arena wind-pressure attack that pushes Melinoë toward the edges |
| Lightning Strike | Area lightning attacks landing across the arena |
| Venom Mist | Spreads a poison cloud across a section of the arena |
| Multi-Head Barrage (Phase 2) | Multiple heads attack simultaneously, creating near-constant AoE coverage |
| Platform Destruction | Typhon shatters arena footing in later phases, shrinking the safe area |
Strategy
Focus damage on one head at a time — each head that is silenced briefly reduces the total AoE density and gives more room to breathe. Stay near the center of the arena to maintain options in all directions; hugging the edges while Storm Vortex is active leads to knockoff. Once platforms begin breaking, shift to aggressive burst damage rather than sustained attrition — the shrinking arena makes survival increasingly impossible. Builds with single-target burst (Artemis Crit legendary, Apollo Sun builds) paired with area-denial boons for the remaining heads are the strongest approach.
Rewards
Defeating Typhon drops a Void Lens and completes the Surface route, triggering major story events.
