Chronos
Overview
Chronos, the Titan of Time, is the final boss of the Underworld route and the primary antagonist of Hades II. He has seized the House of Hades and imprisoned its ruler, and Melinoë must fight through Tartarus to confront him.
Attack Patterns
| Attack | Description |
|---|---|
| Scythe Combo | Multi-hit close-range slashes with his great scythe |
| Time Stop | Freezes Melinoë in place briefly; dodge just before or immediately after the freeze lifts |
| Time Sand Rain | Rains projectiles across the arena in a wide area |
| HP Rewind | At half HP, partially restores his own health by rewinding time |
| Accelerated Assault | Dramatically increases his attack speed in later phases |
| Time Fractures | Tears in spacetime spawn additional projectile attacks simultaneously |
| Dominion of Time | Full-screen wipe attack in the final phase; safe zones appear as glowing spots — reach one immediately |
Strategy
Learn the time-stop timing first — even inside the freeze there is a brief window to act, use it to reposition or collect Magick vials. Save burst damage for after his HP-rewind triggers so you overpower the heal. In the final phase, watch for the Dominion of Time telegraph and sprint to a safe-zone marker without hesitation. Builds with strong sustain (healing boons, max HP upgrades) and high burst damage for phase transitions are most reliable.
Rewards
Defeating Chronos yields Zodiac Sand and triggers major story progression toward freeing Hades.
